Is it a good idea to resign now, or should I wait until 2026? Honestly, I’m so tired! Been with this company since January and it has been a disaster from DAY ONE. Toxic culture, messy management, zero support from my team -- just to name a few probs. Part of me wants to walk away now so I can start the new year with a fresh mind, a new environment, and no more emotional burden from this place. But another part of me wonders if I should tahan a bit longer. I really REALLY wanna quit. Should I?

If you’re financially ready and mentally DONE DONE, resign now lah. No point dragging this toxicity into 2026. But if you still need time to secure a new job or save a bit more, wait first. Your reasons to quit are valid. Just make sure you're prepared. Don't make hasty decision.

Sounds like your current work environment is taking a significant toll on your wellbeing. If you feel emotionally drained and unsupported, it’s reasonable to consider resigning. Before making a decision, make sure you review your employment contract, notice period, any benefits and ideally line up your next opportunity. Prioritising mental health is key, staying in a toxic environment long-term can affect both career and personal life.

Im currently at the same fate as you. I start working at my current company last year Oct. The first day i came, my ex colleagues said this dept is a red flag. The longest people would stay is 2 years. I want to quit from day one, because all the works i need to do it by myself without proper training and guidance after all my colleagues left (yes, im fresh grad). Even though they hired lead engineer, but he didn’t know nothing, just replying emails and make powerpoints.

Resign after you get a job is better. All the best

I think about long-term growth and positioning. If this company isn’t giving you support, career development or a healthy workspace, you’re not just tired but you’re stagnating. Sometimes leaving earlier is better than dragging yourself another few months with no real upside. As long as you’re financially prepared and you’ve started applying elsewhere, resigning now could put you in a better position for 2026, mentally and professionally.

Stay until you secure another job..for the time being, show up to work, lay low and play dumb. Think of the life the salary brings. I feel you..and that's my current plan.

as a proffesional worker, i do dare to resign. my mental health is my priority for me to get focus in job and happy ending on my end shift work. otherwise my negative vibes will be spread until to my family, kids, lovely partner. no worries, a lot of company for u to apply for vacancy.

You should if u already secure a new job/business venture. Job market 2026-2027 is going to be tougher due to aggressive automation. Talk to someone close that u can trust to vent out the stress at the moment. All the best

We’re in the same situation. I only had 4 days of training with the person in charge before everything was handed over to me. I’ve been so overwhelmed, and honestly, I’m exhausted. It got to the point where I started having anxiety and panic attacks. Just wanted you to know, you're not alone.I’m still stuck in the same company and exact same situation as you. And honestly, it's not about being *manja* or overreacting it’s about mental health. We’re pushed to our limits without proper support.
