Technical Support Specialist
I just joined this company about 3 months & during probation review, my boss mentioned few things that made me like huh??
1- Punctuality. Last clock in before 9.30am, so few times i dtg almost 9.30am. Usually by 9AM i dah dkt office. He said it's bad manners. Since i'm new, dtg almost 9.30 dah kira lewat. REALLY??
2- He said I'm not proactive bcz i siap kerja, tak pergi tanya mintak kerja lain. Like, why would i do that??
Seriously cannot brain. All these my fault ke? Help me understand pls!

Let me answer for you. Nope, not your faults. Ni semua poyo je! Bagi i takde masalah pun dtg almost 9.30am sebab you belum dikira lewat. Dan if kerja dah siap, relaks je lah. nak mintak kerja extra buat apa? Tak bijak Namanya tu. So yeah, chill je. Boss you dinosaur and it shows.

when its say 9:30am you go 9:30am.
that is called punctual.
if its say 9:30am, got go 7am/8am its called smart enough dont pretend to be smart.
if its say 9:30am and you go after 9:30am its called malaysia time. no traffic? you think the whole world only got your company working?

Boss ni macam strict sikit, but maybe dia nak tengok effort lebih. Try datang earlier dari biasa and bila free, tanya if ada task lain nak bantu. Kadang small adjustments camni boleh buat boss happy. Good luck!

xtahan ku cabut lari je.. apa dia ingat duit dia punya blh lyn org cm lembu..sorry! sorry la maybe situasi kita x sama.. tapi sy xkan bgi org torture mental saya. duit dia punya kerja kita punya .. REZEKI ALLAH punya..

About the extra work. I don’t think it’s your fault, yes it’s good if the boss sees initiative. But for what? For a RM50 promotion?
Everyone works mostly because of money. When you go to work, and if you’ve done your tasks, you’ve done your part, hence, you’ve done your bidding for the part they pay you.
Ask your boss, if they give you extra work, will you be compensated? Our efforts and our time should be rewarded equally for what we’re given and what they’re giving.

Saya cerita sikit my experience dekat 1 company ni. Before 9:35am kena clock in sebetulnya dalam offer letter 10am tapi wajar tak kalau lambat masuk thumbprint kena fine 30rm tu masih kira bagus kalau nasib jumpa manager yg kaki report dia bagi kau fine double which is around 60rm nama company tu [Melangé] Toxic sangat lagi satu kalau tak buka bill you kena fine 50rm utk 1 hari lagi kalau tersilap buat closing lagi kena fine dapat imagine tak?
