Just sharing resume tips for Gen Z on how i usually screen candidates resume.
- I tend to focus on the skills and achievements highlighted on the resume. If a candidate doesn’t have work experience, that’s okay. what matters is what they’ve done during their studies, such as volunteer work or other extracurricular activities.
- I generally prefer candidates not to include a photo on their resume, as it’s often unprofessional and unnecessary in most cases

Some reviewer said it’s compulsory to include picture in the resume. Plus I don’t think it’s unprofessional at all. So i guess it’s based on individual preference.

- If you are focusing to apply for a specific job, your resume should cater to the job. I myself have 3 different resume to cater to different jobs i have applied before. Hence, always read the job description and cater your resume to it.

Thanks for the tips! Would you also suggest to include cover letter as well? Does it help to increase the possibility of getting noticed?
