Lately, I’ve been considering a career in the hotel industry. I’ve always admired how hotels operate like well-oiled machines, creating seamless experiences for guests. 🏨 But honestly, I’m not sure where to start. Is it tough to break into this field without prior experience? Do employers care more about skills and personality, or is hands-on experience non-negotiable? I’d love to hear from those who’ve been in the industry—what makes someone stand out when applying for hotel jobs?

Hotel work can be so rewarding! It's not just about experience, employers love people who are friendly, reliable, and willing to pitch in. If you don’t have direct experience, starting with something like guest services or an entry-level role is a good way to get your foot in the door. As long as you’re passionate and can connect with guests, you’ll stand out!

Breaking into the hotel industry without experience is totally possible! Many employers care more about how you interact with people, your personality, and your willingness to learn. If you’ve got a good attitude and can show you’re committed, starting with a front-line role or even volunteering could get you started
