Hi, is it normal for interviewers to ask about personal commitments such as our house rental amount, whether we have any personal loans, how much credit card debt we have, or what type of car we drive? It happened to me last month, and eventually it makes me a bit turn off to continue the interview session.

Honestly, it’s not typical for interviewers to ask such personal financial questions. Usually interviews focus on your skills and experience. If they’re crossing into personal territory like rent or debts, that can feel intrusive and uncomfortable. It’s okay to set boundaries or politely ask how it relates to the job.
