Penang memang competitive, especially for roles that need Mandarin. But don’t worry, if you’re willing to belajar Mandarin, that’s a good step forward. There are also jobs that don’t require Mandarin, so don’t give up! Maybe try jobs in admin, retail, or customer support while working on your language skills. InsyaAllah, something will open up soon!

Agree. Almost 90% of my roles in Penang required Mandarin Speaker. Dah setahun lebih mencari untuk setel down with my small family in Penang. Else, I need to downgrade my salary more 25-30%. PJJ from KL huhu
