Been working in a small company in Penang for 3 years now, but honestly, the work culture here feels a bit off. I notice certain groups get better treatment, while others (including myself) are kinda sidelined. TBH, it's giving racism but i dare not say so out loud. Not sure if this is just my company or if it's more common across Penang? I love my job, but this bias is making it hard to stay motivated. Should I bring it up or just start looking elsewhere? Anyone else experienced this?

It’s tough when you feel like you’re being sidelined, especially when it’s impacting your motivation. If you feel safe doing so, having a conversation about the culture with someone in leadership or HR might help bring awareness to the issue. But, if you don’t see any changes, looking elsewhere might be worth considering. Your mental health and job satisfaction are really important.

I’ve been in a similar situation before, and it’s draining. I think it's important to address it, but in a constructive way. If you feel comfortable, maybe have a private conversation with HR or your manager to discuss how the environment is affecting your motivation. If the situation doesn’t improve, then it might be time to look for a company with a more inclusive culture. I know it’s hard, but your well-being comes first
